Hello [subscriber:firstname | default:Amazon Seller],

Thank you for being a subscriber, and thank you for opening this email.

Amazon is ending the Early Reviewer Program on April 25.

As of March 10, 2021, Amazon will no longer allow new enrollments in the Early Reviewer Program, as they found that One Tap Reviews and Global Review Sharing, have proven more effective in generating more quality reviews than the Early Reviewer Program. Below is their announcement.

Amazon continuously innovates to improve the shopping and selling experience. Over the past several years, we have made numerous improvements to encourage purchasers to review products on Amazon. These initiatives, such as One Tap Reviews and Global Review Sharing have proven more effective in generating reviews than the Early Reviewer Program. Accordingly, as of March 10, 2021, we will no longer allow new enrollments in the Early Reviewer Program and will stop offering the service to sellers currently enrolled in the program on April 25, 2021.

FDA Finds Hidden Drugs in Nearly 50 Dietary Supplements Sold on Amazon

Well, this is particularly disturbing. Some of the tainted products sold on Amazon were labeled '#1 Best Seller' or 'Amazon's Choice'. Is nothing safe anymore?

Consumer Reports has written an article about what types of drugs were found in supplements sold on Amazon. The ingredients included sildenafil (the active ingredient in Viagra), tadalafil (Cialis), and vardenafil (Levitra). The agency also found sibutramine, an appetite suppressant; and fluoxetine (Prozac).

I don't know what the answer will be on this issue...I would say only let manufacturers sell their own products or not at all.

2021 Will Bring Big Changes to Amazon and Its Sellers

Today, more than 60 percent of consumers start their online shopping searches on Amazon. That trend is unlikely to change, as consumers have grown accustomed to the new normal of digital purchasing. Even seniors have changed their habits and are projected to be a major driver of e-commerce growth in the coming years.

The results that matter for brands speak for themselves -- Amazon's revenue from its marketplace sellers increased by more than 50 percent in 2020 compared to the previous year.

As we look ahead into 2021 and beyond, here is what will take place in the Amazon e-Commerce ecosystem that brands need to know.

Amazon is Removing Customer List Downloads

Amazon Sellers will no longer be able to re-market to their customers or build customer lookalike audiences on 4/8/2021. These lists are extremely valuable and something that every brand should have in their arsenal. I suggest all sellers download all customers lists as far back as they can so you can always retarget or create lookalike audiences to target new customers similar to yours.

TikTok Leggings on Amazon

The #1 best-selling clothing product on Amazon for most of January and February was a pair of high waist leggings that went viral on the social app TikTok. “TikTok leggings” is still one of the most-searched terms on Amazon.

Perhaps this could happen to one of your products. Anything is possible...

Elite Seller

This week we added a software product called Elite Seller to our website. We were surprised at how sophisticated and well-written it is.

If you have more than one Amazon seller account to manage, then this might be the software for you. But it is great if you only have one account, as well. It manages orders, reviews, products, alerts, customers, and much more. It can also help you launch new products with ManyChat and landing pages.

It is definitely worth a look. You can find our write-up on it, including videos showing how it works here.
